Tube Cutting Service - Traub Cut (Snap-cut) -Cut to length - 5/32” OD to 1-3/8”OD Tube Sizes

Greaney Enterprises uses an automated lathe called a Traub, to perform a “Snap cut” to a desired length of tubing. A Snap cut is where the tubing is rotating with the spindle of the Traub and cutting inserts remove material from most of the wall of the tube until the material can be snapped off from the remainder of the tube. This process leaves the cut tube with a burr-free chamfered OD and a commercially burr-free ID. The Traub cut can be used to process tubes up 34” long.

We offer a variety of custom end cut conditions including, but not limited to:

• Varying chamfer angles

• Tubes with a radius lead on the OD

• A “Square Cut” – made to emulate a rotary pull-apart cut
